Welcome To Summit Ave Presbyterian Church

†YOUR FRIENDLY CHURCH ON THE HILL
At SAPC you will find a caring family of believers in Christ.  Through our worship, spiritual growth, fellowship, acceptance, and outreach we are making a differeRev. Mel & Alice Lord-Unruhnce wherever and to whomever Christ calls us.  This is our mission statement and our church. If you decide to worship with us you will find a church that gathers around the Word of God at two adult Bible studies at 9 a.m. Sunday morning.  In our downstairs learning center you will find a book by book study taking place that is lay led and provides an open yet challenging discussion of the Scriptures.  Upstairs in the fellowship hall is a topical study that has covered the writings of Max Lucado, Crossways survey of the Bible in themes called “Divine Drama”, and is now discussing the glory and presence of God in the series “God Over Us”.  You’ll witness a dynamic and joyful worship at 10:30 a.m. (9:30 a.m. in the summer).  Our choir, bell choirs, youth and children singing groups, organist, and other musicians strive to provide a blend of styles that range from traditional to contemporary, from jazz to classical to spiritual.  We are liturgical, but our real emphasis is open and enthusiastic sharing where laughter and tears are welcomed and warmly received.

Small groups, mission, youth, Sunday School, Family gatherings, and community outreach are all an active part of what we provide, and we are eagerly looking for others who want to participate in our growth.  We have strong ties to military families and a strong commitment to serving our diverse community as we ourselves are becoming more and more diverse.  Join us for worship and find the family you never knew you had.

Trinity Window Minimize
Several years ago, the windows in the sanctuary were updated and the old glass was stored away for the right opportunity to come along & Judy Wieck obtained the old glass with the promise she would return it to the church someday in a new form. That day has come!!! The old glass has been used to create the “Trinity” window. The “Trinity,” is the Father, Son and Holy  God in three persons is depicted in the new window. The dove represents the Holy Spirit, the cross represents Christ the Son, and the sun beams represent the glory of God the Father. You may recognize the glass used in the sun beams as the old sanctuary glass. Judy would like to thank Cathy Hall and the Worship Committee for their support and encouragement in the design and construction, Kent Edmonds for his expertise and powerhouse strength, and all those involved in placing the window in it final display location.

As you enter the bottom parking lot look up and you will
see this beautiful Trinity Window
